Stochastic inhomogeneous oxidation is an inherent characteristic of copper (Cu), often hindering color tuning and bandgap engineering oxides. Coherent control the interface between metal oxide remains unresolved. propagation front in single-crystal Cu thin film demonstrated to achieve a full-color spectrum for by precisely controlling its oxide-layer thickness. Grain-boundary-free atomically flat films prepared atomic-sputtering epitaxy allow tailoring layer with abrupt via heat treatment suppressed temperature gradient. Color nearly red/green/blue indices realized precise thickness; samples cover ?50.4% standard space. The copper/copper reconstruction quantitative yield from “pigment” (complex dielectric functions Cu2O) light-layer interference (reflectance spectra obtained Fresnel equations) produce structural color. Furthermore, laser-oxide lithography micrometer-scale linewidth depth through local phase transformation oxides embedded metal, providing spacing necessary semiconducting transport optoelectronics functionality.
